Biform • showed form over hurdles last season, winning at Te Aroha and being placed at Paeroa and Auckland. At the recent Avondale meeting he finished second in the Grey Lynn High-weight Handicap to Ruling King, which showed that he was returning to his best. His next outing will be in the Trial Hurdles at Ellerslie on Saturday 'and he should be in the picture at the finish.

RACED WELL LAST SEASON. A couple of seasons ago Chrysology was brought north for the Avondale and Auckland spring meetings, but a -rather rough trfp by motor transport from Hawke's Bay prevented him from showing his best at the former meeting. However, at the Auckland meeting, a little later, he won the Gordon Handicap and the Nelson Handicap, and on going on to Christchurch won the Avon Handicap at his next start. He failed to get into the money in his subsequent efforts. Last season he was a good performer, only being twice out of a place in a dozen starts. He wae brought up to the Takapuna spring meeting and won the Borough Handicap, seven furlongs. At the Wellington summer meeting he accounted for the Anniversary Handicap, one mile, and later annexed I the Napier Park Cup, one mile and a quarter. He was third in the Thompson Handicap and second in the Hawke's Bay Cup, while Huntinjj Cry was the only one to beat him in the Ormond Memorial Cup. Chrysology looks in good heart and he should race well at the forthcoming meeting at Ellerslie.
