ARMED BANDITS.
BANK MESSENGERS SHOT. (Received 1.30 p.m.) BERLIN, October 31. Armed robbers in a- motor attacked two bank messengers carrying a, box with £2500 from the branch of the Reichsbank at Erfurt. They shot one dead and wounded the other. While loading the box in their car a policeman came out of a neighbouring station. The robbers dropped the box and fled. The constable fired seven shots at the car, and it is believed that one of the robbere was wounded. The encounter took place in day time in a busy street.
