M.P. ARRESTED.
DOLE FRAUDS ALLEGED. NEW YORK, October 30. A message from St. Johns, Newfoundland, states that Roland Starkcs, Opposition member of the Legislature for White Bay, has been arrested on 17 charges of alleged fraud in connection with the distribution of relief to the unemployed. The police allege that Starkes fraudulently signed dole receipts during a period of several months. He has been released on bail.
