"During the past fortnight 157 men have received boots and clothing. Thirty-two of these were city men and 125 camp men," reported the officer in charge of the depot. The Labour Department's figures showed that 98 men had left Auckland for camps during the fortnight. The total number of men who had received assistance from the depot was 5141.
