NEW ZEALAND OFFICE

Plan to Employ New Zealanders In London. DEFALCATIONS £2500. LONDON, October 0. It is understood that the defalcations in the New Zealand office in London total £2500. It is expected that the Dominion Minister of Finance, Mr. W. Downie Stewart, will recommend a plan similar to the custom at Australia House. This would mean that the principal officers in London would be New Zealanders. The tenure of the appointments would be limited to four years. This would ensure that a sprinkling of the staff in the Dominion would be familiar with the work of the London office.
