VALUES STEADY. THE LONDON SALES. (Received 10 a.m.) LONDON, October 6. A'fc the wool galea 8371 bales were offered, including 3656 from New Zealand, and about 6008 were sold. Competition was well sustained. The bulk of the offerings were cleared at fully steady rates. New Zealand crossbred Arakuki, top price 10% d, average BJ/id;8 J /id; halfbred, Acland, 10% d and lOd. BRADFORD TOPS. BUSINESS STILL QUIET. (Received 10 a.m.) BRADFORD, October 6. On the Bradford market the advance in prices is checking business. Recent top quotations were as under: —

BRISK IN SYDNEY. SYDNEY, October 6. At the Sydney wool sales to-day 12,978 bales were offered, and 12,217 were sold. Also 1269 bales were sold privately. Prices ruled at the beet point of the week. Continental and Japanese competition was pronounced, with better inquiry on French account. Greasy Merino sold to 19d. CURRENT SYDNEY PRICES. (Received 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. Wool prices ruling for the current week's Sydney sales have been:—Greasy Merino fleece, best to 19d, good 13% d to 15d, average 12d to 13d; free or nearly free from burr or seed, best 14d to 15% d, good 12% d to 13% d; light seedy or burry skirts, good 12d to 13d, average 10% d to ll%d, inferior B%d to 10d; burry, good 10% dto 11 %d, average He! to lOd, inferior 7d to 8d; lambs', light seedy or burry. best ll%d, good 8d to 9d, average 4d to 6d.
