DINELLI SPRINTS FAST. GOOD EFFORT BY JONATHAN. The course proper was available next the rails for two-year-olds yesterday morning. All other fast work on the same track took place 40 feet out from the rails. On the Rails. The first to work on this track was Pelagia, who hopped out very smartly from the barrier and did three furlongs in 38%5, the first two of which occupied 255. She was accompanied out of the tapes by Foreign Money and Sir Musk, who galloped on the outside to take 40 l-ss. Te Punui and the Chief Ruler—Miss Sphinx filly placed three furlongs behind in 37 2-ss. The King Lu—All Win geldiug and the General Latour—March gelding were sprinted a couple of times over two furlongs, but were not timed. A pleasing effort was that of Dinelli, who, in company # ith Trickling Waters and the Gay Shield —Persis colt, completed half a mile in 48 l-ss. Dinelli will be in good shape to fulfil her Avondale Stakes engagement. On the Outside. Eager Rose covered six furlongs nicely in 1.24. This mare is in great heart and continues to work well. Lucidus was not hurried over six furlongs, which took 1.24, the last half occupying 555. Marechal and his stable companion Kanapa were together at the conclusion of half a mile in 525. Arawa Rose covered three furlongs easily in 435. She could have done better. Soloist was of no use to Sea Ruler over four furlongs run in 525. Sea Ruler is working in a pleasing manner and should show to advantage at the Avondale meeting. Chateau was not moving above threequarter pace throughout five furlongs. However, he worked nicely. Jonathan had a slight lead over Limeen at the conclusion of half a mile in 50 2-ss. This was a very pleasing gallop. Rose Lupin, Erination and Safe Bank were in that order at the end of half a mile in 52 l-ss._ Beryl Latour had Protomint as a companion over six furlongs in 1.19. Protomint was being kept up to his work. Loombination placed seven furlongs behind in 1.34, the last halfmile taking 565. He could have done a little better. The Musketoon—Sibford gelding (three years) in J. Paul's charge, was sprinted over two furlongs, striding along in a promising manner to cover the distance in 26 l-ss.
