MR. JOHN HENLEY.

A pioneer railway official of New Zealand, Mr. John Henley, died at OneLunga, aged 80 years. He joined the railway (Service in the early days and ■was stationed at Manutahi 'before the Wellington-Taranaki line had reached Hawera. Prior to that; Mr. Henley had served with the Armed Constabulary and was stationed between Napier and Taupo. He leaves three sons and two daughters. Another son was killed in the Great War.
