ANNUAL REUNIONS.
RUGBY REFEREES 1 ASSOCIATION. Mr. Frank Sutherland, president, was in the chair at the annual dinner and smoke concert of the Auckland Rugby Referees Association on Saturday night. There was an attendance of over 60, including Messrs. G. H. Pownall (president of the Ivew Zealand Rugby Union), H. Frost (chairman of the management committee of the Auckland Rugby Union), W. J. Wallace. R. O'Brien and members of the Poneke Rugby team. following toasts were honoured :— T t?. -?ing," "Sportsmen," proposed by Mr. J. iinlayson and responded to by Messrs. : R. O'Brien and J. Shearer; Auckland Rugby Union," proposed by Mr. G. C. Wales and responded to by Mr. H. P rost; "The Auckland Rugby Referees' Association," proposed by Mr. Duncan Rae and responded to by Mr.' F. E. Sutherland : "The New Zealand Rugby Referees' Association,' proposed by Mr. G. Kattcrns and responded to by Mr. F. J. Ohlson. first president of that association ; "Junior Referees," prmiosed by Mr. M. Kronfekl and responded to by Chief Petty OfflcorWriter Styles and Mr. W. Bagnall: "The Chairman," proposed by Mr. ,T. G. C. Wales. Songs were contributed by Messrs. D. Barnes, ,T. G. Gasparich and F. E. Sutherland, a .-'cella, solo by Mr. M. Adams and humour by Messrs. R. Yates, T. Harris and .7. Finlayson. Mr. H. Worsley acted as accompanist. '
