MEADOWBANK CLUB.

Brilliant sunshine characterised the opening day of the Meadowbank Tennis Club on Saturday, a large number of members and friends being present. The president, Mr. A. Lamont, extended a hearty welcome to Messrs. R. B. Hardy, S. Lamb, N. G. Sturt and J. Harrison of the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association. Mr. Hardy (president) presented the prizes won during the season, after which Mr. Lamont opened the courts for play, and a very enjovable afternoon was spent. Prize Winners. —Men's singles: F. McKechnie; men's doubles, F. McKechnic" and S. Bain; ladies' singles, Mrs. Robinson : ladies' doubles, Misses D, and E. Wilcox; combined doubles, J. Lamont and Mrs. Robinson, S. Bain and Miss E. Fish.
