CYCLIST RIDES 35 MILES. ® ' GIRL PILLION-RIDER'S ESCAPE. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, Sunday. After fracturing his riglit leg in a skidding mishap, Mr. B. Russell, a young man employed as a storeinan, remounted his machine and rode home with a girl pillion-rider a distance of 35 miles. The skid occurred in loose metal on a bend on the Rimutaka Hill. The young woman was not injured. On arrival at Wellington, after a painful ride over hilly and flat country, Mr. Russell returned to his homo in Frederick Street, but was taken later to hospital.
