MINIATURE RIFLES.
AUCKLAND CLUB. The Auckland Miniature Rifle Club this week concluded its championship series of shoots for the season. The competition proved very interesting, and showed a 20 points improvement on last year's standard. G. G. Kelly again carried off the title, with an aggregate of 1043 points out of a possible 1050. S. C. Parkinspn was runner-, up with a score of 103G, with K. Davies and A. Sommerville four' poipts behind him. It has been decided to .extend the season for two. more nights to permit completion ,of a handicap-trophy competition. \'V"V ; ' v <v This week's scores off the .rifle in the principal match (possible 70) ; were : —G. WHANGAREI CLUB. , (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this day. The final Plumbers' Cup competition was held bv the Wliangarei Miniature Rifle Club last evening. It was won. by the Transport Team with a score of 323,against the "Northern Advocate's" 322. Another phase of the Vickers Rilie competition for members was shot off, H. Cowper and W. Norris obtaining possibles off the rifle. Details of the Plumbers' Cup were Transport. 323 f.T. H. Ashton 68, _ F. Tebbutts ('.7, C. Ruddell 05, M. D. O Shea 03, H. Edmonds 00).
