SNOOKER.

TEAMS TOURNAMENT. The teams snooker tourney was advanced a further stage at the Phillips' billiards parlours last evening, when \V. Irwln's team defeated a team captained by S. Gray by 501 points to 528. Fine contests, characterised by close finishes, were appreciated by a large audience. Most Interest centred in the games between Irwin and Gray. The iirst game resulted in an easy victory for Irwin by 62 points to 36. It was black to win in the second, and a fine long shot by Gray gave his team a chance in the tinal. Irwin was at his best in the last game, however, and gained another easy win.
