NATIONAL RESERVE.
The National Reserve lield the annual meeting yesterday afternoon at Bishopscourt, when the president, Mre. F. Fitchett, was in the chair. The annual report referred to the work of the reserve for the dependents .of soldiers and sailors which had been carried on during; the year, and that tlie rest room at Grafton Bridge, for which the president and society worked so ' hard, was justifying its existence, as 2000 mothers visited it a. week. The members of th society visited the rooms on occasion, with a friendly eye to any furniture or little thing lacking, which was supplied. As the result of several bridge afternoons the sum of £9 had been added to the funds of the reserve. The election of officers was as follow: Patroness, Mrs. Averill: president, Mrs. I'. Fitchett; vice-presidents, Mrs. John Cook, Mrs. H. R. Hesketh, Mrs. McGarry, and Mrs. H. Gulliver; secretary and treasurer, Miss Paykell, who has been the energetic secretary for some years.
