"GROSS INJUSTICE."

NEW COUNTRY DISTRICT SCHEME. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Monday. _ Representatives of local bodies in districts surrounding Dunedin, in conference to-day, characterised the Unemployment Board's new 6cheme for country districts as a grose injustice. A resolution of protest against the scheme propounded in circular 159 was passed, with the request that workers in boroughs and in counties adjoining a city be on the same schedule as city unemployed and another protesting against debarring seasonal workers from obtaining relief work, the suggestion being made that local committees should have discretion to deal with individual cases.
