ORIENTAL ART.

Opened on July 4 by the Mayor, Mr. G. W. Hutchison, the special exhibition of Chinese and Japanese art at the Museum will close to-morrow. The considerable public interest in the exhibits has been' fostered by lectures on various aspects of the subject by Captain Humphrey-Daviee and Mr. H S. Dadley. The attendances have been large, being several hundreds a week more than those for the corresponding period last year. Captain HumphreyOavies will conclude the exhibition with a lecture on "Chinese Porcelain: Ite History and Development."
