The following New Zealand horses are engaged for the Canterbury Park races on Saturday:— Three-year-old Handicap, sweepstakes of 30/ each, with ISOsovs added, nine furlongs. Prince Pombal, 0.13; Hauwiri, 8.10 ; Mtingatoon, 8.9. Flying Handicap, sweepstakes of 30/ each, with loOsovs added, six furlongs.—First division : True Shaft, 9.8; Hunt the Slipper, 8.12. Second division: Peter Jackson, 10.2 ; My Talisman, 8.4. Canterbury Stakes, sweepstakes of 3sovs each, with 300sovs added, weight-for-age, with allowances, six furlongs.—Autopay, 7.11. 9.2; Gaine Carrington, 8.0; Silver Ring, September Handicap, sweepstakes of lsov each, with loOsovs added, one mile and three furlongs.—Manawhenua, 8.8; King March, 8.5. Campsie Handicap, sweepstakes of 30/ each, with loOsovs added, nine furlongs.— King March, 9.9. INFLATION IN AUSTRALIA. SYDNEY, September 1. The New Zealand horse Inflation is reported to be suffering from a burst foot. He has not been worked this week, and his prospects of starting in the Epsom are doubtful.
