Further Heavy Rains Fall in

Victoria.

RIVERS RISING RAPIDLY,

(Received 10 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. Fear of floods in the Murray and Murrmnbidgee Rivers has increased as the result of further heavy rain. The upper tributaries of the Murray are in heavy flood.. The overflow of Hume weir is expected hourly. The MuiTumbidgee River flats are inundated. A portion of the Batlow railway line was washed away and Hilla'e Creek bridge was destroyed.

A cyclonic gale caused severe damage to the towns of Trangie and Merriwa.
