(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)
CHI'ISTCHURCH, this day
In a professional boxing contest last night for the Dominion bantam-weight title George Wright (Christehurch), 8.5, beat Clarrie Woods (Wellington), 8.4, securing a knock-out in the ninth round. Wright was the aggressor throughout. It was a very clean and fast fight. The end came when Woods was dazed by a right swing. Before he could rally Wright knocked him out with a right to the jaw.
