TRANSPORT BOARD.

ONE-SECTION TICKETS. Since the Transport Board decided to sell through conductors seven-trip cards the sale of one-section cards, including those sold at 12 rides for 1/9, has increased by £78 a week, the average increase in trips per week being 3725. In the circumstances it was decided, at this morning's meeting of the Auckland Transport Board, to continue the sale of both types of one-section cards. It was decided to recommend the controlling authorities to bring taxis within the scope of the Transport Licensing Act, "in the interests of the taxis and the general public."
