CAR FALLS FIFTY FEET.
THREE OCCUPANTS INJURED. RESULT OF COLLISION". (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) TAIHAPE,.this day. A collision occurred on the main north road near Mr.. E. W. Spooner's residence at noon yesterday, between., a large touring car driven by Mr. I. A. Jacobeen and a limousine driven by a local garage mechanic, Mr. W. H. Martin. The latter was forced over a 50ft bank, and it turned a somersault and landed with its wheels uppermost. The limousine contained Mre. B. M. Collerton and Miss Collerton as passengers, and they and the driver contrived to escape through the broken car. windows, Miss Collerton with a gashed leg, Mre. Collerton with cuts on one arm, and the driver with bruises. Mr. Jacobsen narrowly escaped following the path of the limousine, for his car stopped with ite front wheels over the edge of the bank, and it was held back by the undercarriage. The car wae carrying a bale of straw between each front mudwing and the radiator.
