DEATH OF COUNTESS BEATTY. (Received 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, July 17. The death has occurred of the Countess Beatty, wife of the famous British Admiral. She married him in 11)01 as Ethel Field, eldest daughter of the first Marshall Field, founder of the huge department stores in Chicago. The Earl and Countess had two sons, the elder of whom, Viscount Borodale, was elected as a Conservative M.P. for Peckham at tiio general election last October.
