UNIVERSITY DANCE.
A scene of gaiety was presented at the Auckland University College on Saturday evening when the commerce faculty held their annual ball. Palms and greenery made the entrance look charming, while a. feature of the decorations was a coloured backcloth on the stage showing the ship of commerce in full sail. Supper was served in the cafeteria, where Iceland poppies made the tables gay. Excellent music was supplied for dancing. Members of the committee present were: Miss Nancy Callis, who woro a frock of deep cream and red velvet; Miss Nancy Keeley, deep mauve georgette with coatee of gold lame; Miss Margery Gray, rose pink satin. Among those present were: Mrs. H. Belshaw, wearing eleetrie blue georgette; Mrs. Ashton Spencer, palest pink groegrin; Mrs, IT. Rod well, black chiffon velvet; .Miss Bourne, ciel blue georgette; Miss Mavis Stokes, gold tucked organdie; Miss Valerie McCallum, mauve toned taffeta; Mi*.s Molly Stewart, deep cream eatin; Mies Mario Colson, black georgette and lace; Miss Gay Henderson, wine red eatin; Miss Katie Hacket, amber satin; Miss Jean Alison, petunia taffeta; Miss Phyllis Giesham, daffodil yellow chiffon; Miss Doris Cleland, Lido blue satin bcaute; Miss Nancy Hewland, Pompadour roso georgette; Miss Sybil Robertson, palest pink frilled muslin; Miss Doris St. Ingiis, flame coloured taffeta; Miss Kathleen Teapo, rose floral chiffon; Mies Pauline Anderson, fleoh pink crepe fleuri; Miss Jean Chambers, daffodil yellow satin; Miss Margery Christie, black ring velvet; Miss Joyce Stacey, cameo pink georgette; Miss Betty Hagger, Pompadour rose sprigged taffeta; Miss E. Maddigan, ivory satin; Miss Betty Potts, wine, red satin; Mies Ola Pearce, palest pink satin beaute; Mise Iris Lister, cameo pink velvet; Miee Iris Marshall, dark green ring velvet; Miss Kathleen Spriggs, water lily green frilled taffeta; Miss Sybil Robertson, rose pink frilled taffeta; Miss Jcy Menzies, electric blue georgette; Mies Muriel Zohrab, ivory satin bcaute; Miss June Day, pale pink chiffon; Mise May Stevenson, palest pink lace; Miss Ngaia Hughes, black lace relieved with white fur; Miss Molly Cambridge, electric blue lace; Mise M.
