HARBOUR SOCIAL CLUB.

The Auckland Harbour Board Social Club held the iirst of a scries of dances for the season at their club rooms, Pore Building, Quay Street, on Saturday evening. The decorations were very simple, soft white bowls of light and handsome brown chenille curtains giving a warm and cosy appearance to the beautiful sports room. A good orchestra supplied the new tango, and Mr. Gordon Kessell rendered musical items.

Mi's. R. C. Holmes was the hoetese, and received the guests in a black silk net. over satin. Among those present were: Mrs. J. Livingston, black handpainted georgette; Mrs. E. Grieve, black flowered eilk; Mrs. H.E.Bennett, mauve satin and silver lace; Mrs. R. Ivil, cherry satin; Mra. E. Armishaw, huchess blue georgette; Mrs. A. E. Trevarthen, pink Mouple satin; Mrs. E.
