BEER DUTY "CUT." REJECTED BY COMMONS. (Received 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, June 9. The House of Commons to-day, by 301 votes to 71, rejected an amendment to the Finance Bill, moved by Sir W. Wayland (Con., Canterbury), to reduce the beer duty to 103/ a barrel from the present duty of 134/.
