BOUNDARY ROADS.
MOUNT BO SKILL AKT> CITY. JOINT REPORT ADOPTED. Boundary roads between the city and Mount Roekill were the subject of a joint report submitted to the City Council last night by the town clerk, Mr. J. S. Brigham, and the city engineer. Mr. J. Tyler. The report was in part as follows: "The Controller and AuditorGeneral having ruled as ultra vires the recent proposal for an agreement on the basis that the city should undertake the work, subject to the board accepting responsibility for half the cost and repaying on terms eet out, we beg now to recommend that the Mount Roskiil Road Board bo advised that the council is prepared to immediately undertake the kerbing, channelling, and formation of the footpaths on the city side of the streets concerned, provided that the work done bo regarded ae portion of the permanent improvement of these thoroughfares, and that half the cost incurred be deducted from the City Council's proportion of the remainder of the work to be undertaken when the board has funds available therefor." The report was adopted.
