RADIO TRANSMITTERS.
ASSOCIATION'S ANNUAL DINNER,
Members of the New Zealand Association of Kadio Transmitters held their annual dinner last evening. In his address the president of the Auckland branch, Mr. H. 13. Arthur, emphasised the importance of the work being carried on by the amateurs from a national and international aspect. "A great purpose is being served by the transmitters in assisting to create a feetling of good fellowship and brotherhood among the nations of the world," he said.
In proposing the to.ist of the a&soeiation, Mr. G. Mcß. Suit, secretary to the Auckland district, gave an interesting talk on the progress of amateur radio in New Zealand, special reference being made to the Kadio Emergency Corps, recently formed for the purpose of providing communication in times of national calamity.
Mr. A. 0. Tucker, president of the Auckland Kadio Dealers , Association, urged i-loscr co-operation between the N.Z.A.R.T. nnd other radio organisations. The N.Z.A.K.T. was a splendid exmrnple o< the spirit of brotherhood, he said, and the radio trade was always enaw *» (ill positions from members of eucn an «Till α-ncoi of 27 words per minute.
