BRIDGE PARTY.

The Town Hall was transformed into a beautiful winter garden last evening, when a bridge party was given in aid of unemployment relief funds, by arrangement with the Mayor's Metropolitan Unemployment Relief Committee. Tho young people had made excellent arrangements, and the financial results were very creditable. During the interval, when supper was served in the room adjoining the hall, which was artistically arranged with bunting and stands of red chrysanthemums and jonquils, the Mayor, Mr. G. W. Hutchison, congratulated Miss Averill and the committee on Laving raised the sum of £05. Sweets and cigarettes were sold by young girls. The patroness was the Mayoress, Mrs. Hutchison, who wore a black lace gown and fur-trimmed coatee; Miss Winifred Averill wore a pastel blue ninon; Mrs. Jack Russell, black Mechlin lace; Mrs. H. W. Wilson, black flowered chiffon; Mrs. Murray Benjamin, black and pink Chantilly lace, and Mrs. W. Geddes, black ring velvet. Members of the committee present were: Mesdames V. A. C. Crutchley, L. Ludbrook, Alan Donald, N". Patrick, J. Kingston E. Geddes, T. Davis, Misses G. Kingston, A. Bailey, Margaret Gunson, Annette George, Joan Hudson, N. McCullach, M. Walter, V.
