YOUNG SEAMAN FINED £10. Having boon convicted last week on a charge of stealing- 70 dozen eggs, two egg crates and a wheelbarrow, of the total value of £S 15/, the property of the Auckland Poultry Producers Association, on May 15, Harold Edward McCullougli, 27, a seaman, appeared at the Police Court this morning for sentence. Counsel pointed out that accused had been 12 days in custody on remand. He made nothing ont of the theft, having been asked by another man to help him sell some eggs. Mr. Hunt imposed a flno of £10, or one month's imprisonment. Act:used was allowed two days in which, to pay the fine.
