Players will reverse courses to-morrow for the second qualifying round. A. Bradbeer, the youngest and smallest of seven professional brothers, with 70, leads the first round at St. George's. Compston was next with 71. Other scores include Padgham 72, Duncan 74, Armour (holder of th© title) 75.
Havers, with 71, equalled the record for . Sandwich. The leaders include Dallemagne (France) 72; Ray, W. Hartley, Sarazen, Macdonald Smith, and Mitchell 73.
N.Z. GOLFERS. BRINSDEN STRIKES FORM. (Received 11.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. Since their arrival in Sydney the New Zealand Kirk-Windeyer Cup golfers have practised assiduously. H. D. Brinsden, playincr in the Highgate Cup at the Australian Club, outplayed the local lowmark players with 73, to win the trophy with the best scratch score. ENGLISH BOXING. WAX DEFEATS ROBINSON. LONDON, June 6. Leo Wax beat Ted Robinson, of Birmingham, on points in a 12-round boxing contest.
