"SHOULD BE SUPPRESSED."

"BED WORKER" PUBLICATION SELLER SENT TO PRISON. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Six months' hard labour was the sentence passed on John Stephen McKegney, aged 30, labourer, who was charged with selling a paper, the "Red Worker," which incited lawlessness and expressed seditious intention. MeKegney was already serving six months' imprisonment, following the recent trouble, and the sentence was made cumulative. Mr. E. D. Mosley, S.M., said the authorities should take action against the publisher, and suppress the publication. The Crown Prosecutor said action had already been taken. The publisher of the paper had been fined, and other measures were pending.
