ONLY TWO MEMBERS?

OTTAWA DELEGATION. STIIX NO DECISION. POLICY STATION PROMISED. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") WELLINGTON, this day. The personnel of the New Zealand delegation to Ottawa, and the policy to be advocated, will probably be announced this week. The Prime Minister said thie afternoon that the matter had yet to be finalised in Cabinet. A statement would be issued indicating the personnel of the delegation, including the advisers on behalf of various interests and organisations, and aleo outlining the policy. Mr. Forbes said the Government had been advised confidentially of the proposed agenda for the conference, but he was not in a position to make it public. That would probably be done in the course of the next few days by the Canadian authorities. The closest secrecy is being preserved as to the personnel of the delegation, but there is authority for the assumption that not more than two Ministers will attend the conference as New Zealand's representatives. If this is correct, it is certain that these will be the Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes, and the Hon. W. Downie Stewart, Minister of Customs. ; During the absence of Mr. Forbes the Rt. Hon, J. G. Coates will act as Prime Minister.

TRADE COMMISSIONER.

INSTRUCTIONS TO MR. PAISH. (By Telegraph. —Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Mr. L. A. Paish, British Trade Commissioner in New Zealand, who was to have left for London, is now to proceed to Ottawa. '
