NEW ZEALAND HEADQUARTERS OTAGO WANTS IT SHIFTED. ATTITUDE OF AUCKLAND. [ At last night's meeting of the Auckland l Centre of the Xew Zealand Amateur i Athletic Association a letter was received from Otago requesting Auckland's support in the matter of attempting to shift the 1 headquarters of the parent 'body from j Wellington. HARRIER CLUBS ACTIVE.

BIG EVENTS AHEAD. Large attendances were again the order of the day last Saturday, and for the first time this'season combined runs were held. \t Mission Bay a full muster o£ the Calliope and Technical men was seen, and a most enjoyable afternoon was spent over ,i eomewhat shorter course than usual. The dividing up of the runners into three packs fast, intermediate and slow, woe appreciated by all and should help each runner to find his level, and thus have less strain in striving to keep up with his fellows. In the first pack, L. Barker and G. Hill showed that they will be better than ever this year, whilst A. Bradley, S. Rowland and S. Andrews were runnliiß very easily. 0 Dow appeared .but is not lit enough to do the distance, .but only requires to put in the work. At Lvnndale 'Varsity combined with the local club, and had a fine run. W. Briggs is back to form, and if he can only reproduce his school form he will be a great cross-country man. Slow, but sure, should be his training motto. A.Brwne is well-known, and Langham, Hewiteon Kirland and Eyre are new men making their mark There may be budding champions i~n these clubs to upset the calculations of the older men.
