CHEQUE AND BANKNOTE.
STOLEN ON MAIL CONTRACT. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. On charges of stealing a cheque for £9 17/, and a banknote of 10/, at Karamu, Alexander Walter Dyer, aged 23 was sentenced to 14 days' imprisonment in the Magistrate's Court yesterday. Accused admitted appropriating the money while on a mail contract between Pirongia and Frankton.
