DOMAIN DRIVE.

TRAFFIC OUTLET PROBLEM. FINALITY IN SIGHT. There is a probability of finality being readied at the next meeting of the City Council in respect to the 7>roposal to make a light traffic out let from Stanley Street to the Domain Drive. The question of whether this work should be put in hand was referred to the parks and town planning committees and they have held many meetings and heard much evidence. The question has developed into a problem of tho development of the Domain generally and not merely the construction of a roadway. Much consideration has been given to tho unplanted area north of the hospital. There have been suggestions for converting it into a botanical garden. Many societies have given evidence before the committee and private individuals have also contributed their share to the controversy. Reports were received from the New Zealand Institute of Horticulture, Akarana Maori Association, New Zealand Institute of Architects, Town Planning Institute, Auckland Institute and Museum anil Tamaki Women's Progressive League.
