FORMER POSTAL RATES.
INCREASED IN MARCH, 1931. LETTER CHARGE DOUBLED. The postal and telegraphic rates were increased as from March 1, 1931. Before then the postage rates were as follow: — Letters and Letter Cards.—lnland: Id for tho first ounce and Jd for each additional ounce. Overseas countries: Id per ounce. Postcards.—Jd. Late Fee.—ld. Registration Fee.—3d. Packets.—Ad for each 2 ounces up to 21b and 2d per lb thereafter up to 51b. Newspapers.—lnland, Ad each copy; overseas, Id each copy. Registered Magazines.—ld for each 8 ounces.
