NEW ART UNION.

U.S.A. AND SIX OTHER BODIES. Subject to certain conditions restricting administration expenditure and ensuring strict accounting control, a license is being issued for the holding of a further art union in the Dominion. Fifty per cent of the proceeds of the art union is to be for the benefit of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association. The other half is to be distributed among the following organisations, in the order named, to the extent of the amount approved by Cabinet in each case, and the limit of the funds available:—(l) The North Egmont Local Committee of the Egmont National Park Board; (2) Wellington branch of the Royal New Zealand Society for the Health of Women and Children (Plunkct Society); (3) a society or board of trustees to be set up to conduct wool pageants and carnivals, and approved by the Minister of Internal Affairs; (4) the New Zealand Utility Poultry Club; (5) Port Hills-Akaroa Summit Road Public Trust; (6) the Otago Cricket Association.
