NOT RE-ENGAGED.

CHRISTCHTJRCH TRAM MEN. UNION'S DISSATISFACTION. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHUKCH, this day. Dissatisfaction was expressed at a meeting of the Christchurch TramwayUnion at the fact that three men out of seven who were recommended by it for re-engagement with the Tramway Board, owing to their heavy family responsibilities, had not been taken on again. The men concerned have six or more children dependent upon them. It is admitted that two of them were in the original list of men sorted out for dismissal. The union has not been advised of the men who are to be taken back into the tramway service, but a number of the old motormen and conductors have been notified of their engagement.
