Sir Geo. Fowlds was a passenger to Wellington by last night's Limited express. Mr. W. Grounds, a member of the Dairy Control Board, left for Wellington last night. Mr. Justice Reed Is presiding in tho first session of the Supreme Court in New Plymouth. Sir. E. G. Lane, of Sydney, arrived by the Zealandia this morning 011 a business visit to the Dominion. Mr. J. Tyler, city engineer, wlio has been indisposed, has recovered sufficiently to resume his duties. Mr. H. P. P. Blundell, of Wellington, arrived by the Limited express tliies morning, and is staying at Hotel Cargen. Lieutenant W. T. Anderson, of tho Royal Engineers, stationed in India, who is 011 furlough, is making a tour of New Zealand. Flying-Officer A. G. Gerrand, late of the Royal Australian Air Force, lias been appointed field instructor to the Hawked Bay and East Coast Aero Club. Mr. Franklin P. Bolt, of Sydney, arrived by the Zealandia this morning to make a business tour of New Zealand. He is staying at the Grand Hotel. Lieutenant-Colonel H. Aubrey, of the Britis'li Infantry stationed in India, arrived by the Zealandia from Sydney, and went on to Rotorua this morning. Mr. C. M. Croft, Canadian Trade Commissioner in New Zealand, will leavu Auckland on Tuesday by the Niagara for Vancouver to attend the Ottawa Conference. Mr. J. G. L. Hewitt, S.M., chairman of the Railway Appeal Board, and Messrs. K. D. Croft, W. J. Munro and J. Elliott, members, have returned to Wellington from the South Island. Mr. N. G. Gribble, secretary of the New Zealand Land Settlement League, who has been to Wellington, was a passenger to Frankton by the Limited express this morning, and will arrive in Auckland this afternoon. Mr. L. W. Hogben has arrived in Wanganui to succeed Mr. F. B. Barber as manager of the Wanganui branch of the Commercial Bank. Mr. Hogben was previously stationed at Hamilton. Mr. Barber's new post is in Tasmania. Colonel C. R. Gover, R.A., stationed in India, was a passenger from Sydney by the Zealandia this morning. He left Remuera when he was eight years old, and this is his first visit to New Zealand since then. He left for Rotorua this morning. Captain E. R. Gruar, of Skinner's Horse, in the Indian Army, arrived by the Zealandia this morning. Captain Gruar, who is a native of New Zealand, is 011 12 months' furlough/ and left for tho Hot Lakes district by the Rotorua express this morning.
