FIJI'S BUDGET.
DEFICIT IN FIRST QUARTER. (From Our Own Correspondent.) SUVA, May 15. A deficit of £40,188 in the colonyV Budget for the first quarter lias been disclosed. The imports showed a decrease of £77,510, whilst the export duties increased by £31,422. The total value of exports was £282,000, as against £250,044 in 1031, while the total imports were £225,9!)0 for 1931 and £151,480 for 1932. Copra showed the greatest fall of values from £04,419 to £34,130. Baiiann exports increased to 57,704 cases from 21,339. Trocas shell rose from 10 tons to 09 tons. The House will fully discuss tlie situation early; in June.
