SKI-ING IN NEW ZEALAND.
CO-OPERATION WITH AUSTRALIA. TEAM MAY COME OVER. (By Telegraph.—Fress Association.) WELLINGTON, Monday. Recommendations for the control of ski-ing in New Zealand, together with the draft proposed rules of the Ski Council of Federated Mountain Clubs of New i Zealand, were presented at the first annual meeting of Federated Mountain Clubs on Saturday. After the report had been read it was decided that, pending the adoption of a proper constitution for ski control, the present committee should carry on until the end of 1932 or 1933, as the federation thought fit. A motion was passed suggesting that the New Zealand Ski Council might cooperate with Australia in the publication of a ski-ers' year book. It was mentioned that there was a possibility of a team of six expert ski-ers representing various States in Australia coming to New Zealand for the ski championships to be held at Tongariro National Parkin September next. It was decided to make still further recommendations to the authorities in the direction of increasing safeguards for those visiting the park as the recommendations already made had been only partly adopted.-
