TOUR OF DOMINION. EXCELLENT FOR JOY-RIDING. TASMAN FLIGHT PLANS. "So far the project has been only talked .".bout," said Air-Commodore Kingsford Smith last week in an interview in Sydney, regarding the report that he proposed to fly the Tasman again in October or November. "I have remarked to friends on numerous occasions that New Zealand was an excellent place for joy-riding, and that I probably would pay a visit toward the end of tlie year.
■'The Southern Cross will be ready to take the air within a fortnight. It will be practically a new machine, as every nut and bolt has been examined and checked. "When she is ready, I will start on a joy-riding tour of New South Wales and visit Brisbane for the exhibition in August. Queensland then will be toured. All being well I will go across the Tasman at the end of the year and spend the summer joy-riding in the Dominion."
