While the boarders in a private hotel were enjoying their customary game of bridge last evening a thief made a raid on thdir bedrooms and stole various sum-; of money, the largest being 30/, from a woman's room.

Disturbed by a young girl as she entered her parents' room, the thief escaped by a back stairway and drove off in a motor ear. The girl was so scared that she rueihed away screaming and fell down the stairway.
