The first prize was awarded to C. E. Thatcher, 200, Great North Road, Grey Lymi, age 17; the second to Effie Donaldson, Otaika Valley, P. 0., Whangarei, age 14; and the third to Noeleen Bell, Westmere, Huntly West, age 7. Edna Basley, Cornwall Road, Papatoetoe, age 13, received the half-crown award.
