Limited., report having iield their usual weekly stock sale at Fraukton yards on Tuesday, April 26, as under: — Fat Sheep.—A fair yarding of fat sheep, which sold at fully late rates. Prime fat wethers, 14/ to 16/11, for extra choice, fattened by Mr. Sklenares, of Whatawhata, and purchased by Mr. F. Woodhall: medium-weight fat wethers, 12/6 to 13/6; prime fat ewes, from 8/ to 10/; light fat ewes. 5/0 to 7/; fat lambs, 10/0 to 14/; light fat lambs, 8/ to 9/0. Cattle.—Fat steers sold at fully late rates. Eat cows, £3 10/ to £4; fat cows, 30/ to £2; boner cows, 10/ to 13/; small yearling Jersey heifers, £1. Pigs.—A small yarding of both fat and store pigs came forward and baconers sold on a par with late rates, while stores sold well in advance of last week's quotations. We sold a line of 18 baconers on behalf of Mr. K. E. Farrow, of Waitoa. which averaged £2 3/. Best baconers. £2 to £2 4/: medium baconers, £1 17/ to £1 19/; light baconers, £1 12/ to £1 16/: best porkers, £1 2/ to £16/; medium porkers, 18/ to £1 1/; light and unfinished porkers, 12/ to 16/; choppers, £1 8/ to £1 16/; best stores, 11/6 to 13/; slips, 6/ to 8/6; best weaners. 4/6 to 6/; smaller weaners, 4/; sows in pig. £2. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company report as follows:—■ Sheep.—Prime fat wethern sold at 15/ to 15/6; medium, 13/ to 14/6; fat maiden ewes, 12/ to 13/2; prime fat ewes, 8/ to 9/8; medium, 6/ to 7/2. Pigs.—Choppers, 26/ to 37/; heavy baconers. £2 1/ to £2 3/: medium, 35/ to 39/; heavv porkers. 23/ to 26/; medium, 20/ to 22/; stores, 9/ to 11/O; slips, 5/6 to 7/6; weaners. 3/6 to 5/; Tamworth boars, 37/6 to £2: smaller, 32/6 to 35/; Tamworth sows, to 30/. OHAUPC HORSE FAIR. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, Hamilton, report on their Ohaupo horse fair held last week as follows:—A feature of the entry, which consisted of just under 100 draughts and 40 hacks, was the high standard of quality, practically all the draughts being good and reliable horses sold with trial. A large gathering of buyers was competing freely for good sorts and very few reservations .were made during the sale, and of those reserved most found buyers subsequently. Hacks did not meet with so keen a demand its the draughts, but a number of satisfactory sales were eeifcted. Good draughts realised from £18 to £25; average sorts. £12 to £17 10/; lighter, £6 10/ to £10 10/; average hacks. £3 i to £3 2/0; others made up to £3 10/. POVERTY BAY. (By Telegraph—Special to "Star.") GISBORNE, this day. At the Gisbornc sale immediately following- the cattle fair there were small entries in all classes. For fat sheep there was a brisk sale, with values a shade easier. Maiden ewes. 10/7; ewes, 6/8 to 7/6; wethers, 11/6; lambs, 9/4 to 11/ second-grade ewes, 5/11 to 6/8; lambs, 7/2 to 7/4. In stores there was a keen sale, largely of lambs, which were firmer. Breeding ewes, ordinary quality, two and four-tooth, 7/8; two-tooth to five-year, 6/11; lambs, fat forward, 9/9; lusty Downs, 8/10; good shorn, 8/5; woolly, 8/; average pens, 7/ to 8/; empty ewes, forward, 6/9 to 6/10: fairly forward, 4/11; old plain, 3/8; wethers, fairly good, 9/ to 9/G.
