LIMERICK COMPETITION.

FOUR HALF-CROWNS TO BE WON

As you all know, limericks are fivelined humorous verses, the first, second and fifth lines rhyming, and the third line rhyming -with the fourth. Two lines of a limerick are being supplied and it is the task set competitors this week to complete the limerick, supplying the other three lines. Remember that the verse must be humorous. The first two lines of the limerick are as follow:— There was a young fellow named Reg, Who slid down a hill on a sledge, Write out the completed verse and post in order to reach this office not later than Wednesday next. Four prizes of 2/6 are offered for the best limericks submitted.
