HOCKEY.
SEASON OPENS SATURDAY.
At last night's meeting of the Auckland Hockev Association, presided over by Mr. J. N. 'Wilson, it was decided to open the season for sill grades next Saturday, provided grounds can be obtained; otherwise only senior and second grade matches will be played. ~ An application from the Grammar Schools' Old Boys' Club for affiliation was "•ranted. The new club has entered teams in the second and third grade competition.
