THEATRE FROCKS
The frocking of "Dorothy," a favourite comic opera of other days, which was revived at His Majesty's Theatre la*t evening, brought satins and brocades, in all their wealth of rich colour, before the present generation, who prefer the soft crepes and clinging chiffons. Miss Mario Bromnor, as Dorothy, and Miss Mary Hotham, as Lydia, make their entrance together in frocks of powder blue, and beige poplin respectively, tho skirts having wide velvet bands, of bine and brown, up to the waist. Old-fashioned white appliqucd organdie- fischus, puff sleeves and aprons gave an old world air to the country maidens.
Their hats of coarso straw were trimmed with pink roses, poppies and cornflowers, with long velvet streamers hanging from the back. Among those present were: Lady Leys, Mesdames H. O.
