INVENTOR'S DEATH.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) OHRISTOHURCH, this day. The death occurred yesterday of Mr. Ernest Moss, of Dallington, aged GO years, who invented 30 years ago the automatic postal franking machine, which was recognised by the world postal union and is said to have done more for postal systems of the world than anything conceived in that realm since Rowland Hill first proposed penny postage.
