EROWNS ON LIPSTICK. i ! LONDON, April 15. Lipstick lias been forbidden by the i Bank of England to its girl clerks, and the bank lias posted a notice reminding the girls that they signed an undertaking to wear only dark-coloured dresses and to comport themselves with decorum. The use of lipsticks, it is said, is a breach of the undertaking. "How silly," commented the secretary of the Women Clerks' Association, Miss Kettle. "The Old Lady of Threadneedle Street lias always been a bit stuffy. You can't stop girls using lipsticki"
